Hi, I'm Michaelle( spelled kinda funny, but it sound's just like Michelle!) - My mom had found a baby book that had the Italian spelling instead of the Hebrew or French spellings, SO she thought it would be different! :) Thanks so much for stopping by my site! I hope to get to know you and your family! So here is a little about me!!! And my journey in photography!
My love of photography started at a very young age, being around my father who had a passion for photography and always had cameras around and even a darkroom. I spent many hours of my youth in the darkroom watching the magic of images appear. I always had a camera, even a 110 at one point (yes I'm that old), no one was safe from being snapped! I was a yearbook photographer in jr high, borrowing my dad's Canon AE-1 SLR!! I took photography classes throughout high school, I loved every moment of photography class. I felt very at home in the darkroom, and learning studio. I attended East Valley Institute for Photography. While I was at East Valley Institute, I interned at a local studio! I loved getting to work with clients and I was blessed that the studio let me express myself and actually put my photography knowledge into practice. I wasn't just a button pusher. I worked for various studios in the Phoenix area, learning many styles, families, children and glamor. I worked using medium format cameras for years before the digital age. I am a member of Professional Photographers Association, and absolutely LOVE meeting other photographers, going to classes and seminars to expand my knowledge of photography as well as marketing and business. I have been a professional photographer for 18 years now, and am so blessed to live my life as an artist.
I LOVE sunsets, beaches, big trees, creeks... yes I love nature.. I love being outside in the beauty of it all... I love traveling and seeing new places! I collect old cameras, I have a few shelves full!! I love being creative in all parts of my life, it is not uncommon for me to surprise my honey when he comes home with a new project started (which means a big mess of scraped popcorn ceiling!) I am a contractors daughter... what can I say.. I'm not afraid of power tools, they are my best friend! Home Depot and Lowes are 2 of my favorite stores! I build and create all of the sets for studio, and themed events. I also am a sewer! I sew all of the costuming for fairies and themed events.
I am so blessed to have found and married my soul mate, who loves photography as much as I do, and puts up with my need to stop and photograph cliffs for an hour or old doors in New Orleans, where it took us an hour to get a block! Together we have 3 awesome kiddos! I love being a mom!
I love creating beautiful portraits that families will cherish for many years and generations to come! I love getting to know my customers and becoming friends with them. I have many clients that their children come running to my door to play with "shell" I love being a part of their lives! And I hope to have the opportunity to photograph your family!
